Welcome to ‘The Innovation Paradox’; a conversation series where we explore one of the biggest challenges facing leaders and organisations today; how do we keep innovating fast enough to stay relevant, while preserving the culture, values and resilience that allow companies and societies to endure?

Too much innovation, or innovation without the right foundations, can actually destabilise the very systems we rely on. So how do we strike the right balance? What does sustainable, long-term innovation actually look like? And how can organisations adapt to a world of exponential change without losing what made them successful in the first place?

Leading the conversation is James Mawson, a serial author and the founder, CEO, and chairman of multiple startups. But beyond the titles, James is a parent who thinks deeply about the world we’re building and the future our children will inherit.

James has spent much of his career at the intersection of innovation, venture building, and societal change. His work explores how organisations can harness a venture mindset and adopt the right innovation tools, and he brings a sharp, future-oriented lens to how we build companies, and communities, that last.

Each episode James will sit down with leaders who are actively shaping the future. We look at what truly makes organisations resilient, what separates lasting institutions from short-lived success stories, and how emerging technologies & AI are shaping the future.
